Spuzz, you're so American-centric. Don't forget, that's why the world hates us....
Anyway, I too found the film a little, um, raw. If not for the film's title, and a couple of shots indicating "War Ends" etc, this could easily have been an angry riot. Especially without the sound, a celebration looks almost exactly like a revolution. Actually, that's interesting in itself....

trafalgar...so long as the USA has the Internet Archive, great newspapers and magazines, PBS television, great literature and art,splendid people..it has no cause to worry. I think that most of the haters are those who love and consume the american junk(food, fizzy lolly drinks, rubbish films, trashy celebs and politicians...It is a paradox.

Good point. It's so strange to see kids in Nike "Just Do It" t-shirts burning US flags. All I can think of is that they are able to separate the people and culture on one hand, from the government and policies on the other. But it sure would be interesting to see some interviews with these people to really find out what's going on in their heads...
